Extreme Storm

Good to know

Your Homeowner's policy does not cover you against flooding. This is an exclusion from every standard homeowner's policy in Florida. To protect your property from this major hazard, you'd need to purchase a specific policy, even if you do not live in a flood zone

Flooding

Anywhere it rains, it can flood. Flooding has occurred in all 50 states and 98% of U.S. counties. Living far from an ocean or river or outside a special flood hazard area doesn’t mean that there is no risk. “Hidden” risks, such as being located downstream from a dam or burn scar area or in an urban area where storms may overwhelm an aging storm water system, are frequent flood causes.

40% of NFIP flood claims come from zones outside of designated high-risk areas.*

1 inch (2.5 cm) of water can cause $25,000 damage to your property*.
